Last year, SitOnIt Seating and IDEON undertook a variety of initiatives to raise more than $40,000 for partner The Common Thread for The Cure, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families in the furnishings industry who are fighting breast cancer.

The disease is one that is all too familiar to Paul DeVries, CEO and Co-founder of SitOnIt Seating and IDEON, who lost his mother to breast cancer when he was just 12.

“Last year’s private edition sales were just the beginning for us at SitOnIt Seating. We want to keep raising the stakes, which is why our Design Team has come up with three unique designs including one of our newest products, Wit,” says Paul. "Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women. We should all do something, however large or small, to continue to make progress in beating this disease and to let patients know that we support them, that we care about them, and that we're joing the battle with them.”

This October, the initiative to raise funds continues – and expands. SitOnIt Seating will be producing two Limited Edition chairs: a Torsa® with a small pink 3D ribbon insert on the back and a Wit® with a pink mesh back and a soft white faux leather seat. A limited run – one hundred each of the white frame and graphite Torsa models and one hundred Wit chairs will be produced. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sales of these chairs will go to The Common Thread for The Cure.
