A call center in the Southwest gets a much-needed upgrade.

With nearly 700 branches across the US, Santander Consumer—a subsidiary of Spain’s Banco Santander—was looking to furnish one of its new call centers in Mesa, Arizona. In order to maximize its resources for the massive, 150,000 square feet facility, Santander Consumer’s Project and Facilities Manager Crissy Starkey knew their seating solution would need to be a high-quality product at a value- driven pricepoint.

After having tried mesh-back chairs in the past, Starkey and the Santander team knew they definitely wanted an upholstered option this time around—since employees at the call center have to sit for long periods throughout the day on the phone, long term comfort was key. They reached out to Tracy Madans of Workplace Solutions who knew right away that SitOnIt Seating’s Amplify would give them the best bang for their buck. Madans worked with our Dallas-based representative Cindy Carpenter of Carpenter Smith Southwest, Inc. and the Texas design firm Z Projects to get a sample of an upholstered Amplify model in a cheery, bright red color delivered to the Santader team for a sit test.

It was unanimous—the upholstered Amplify won the Santander team over for its plush feel and easily adjustable features. So much so that they decided to standardize on it—last summer, they outfitted the training rooms and call centers inside their newest facility in San Juan, Puerto Rico with the same Amplify model.
