ABOUT THE PROJECT
Vail Systems is an innovative company that uses cloud-based technology for state-of-the-art communications solutions. When the firm was moving offices – to an impressive historic building – it reached for the sky for the best solutions. Teaming with architects at Eastlake Studio and with dealer Office Revolution, Vail Systems began a renovation of the historic building that once housed the Chicago Daily News. The project has garnered press and awards, and the groundbreaking design carried over to the company’s choice of seating – SOI’s Torsa.
WHAT MADE THE DIFFERENCE?
Over two months, Vail Systems and the design team at Eastlake, working with Office Revolution, considered seating options. They looked at a dozen chairs including higher priced seating, but reviewers said the comfort couldn’t compare to Torsa’s. The breathability and support of the mesh back impressed as did the broad pan for a comfortable sit. Vail Systems and Eastlake Studios loved the unique combination of aesthetics, comfort and price offered
The award-winning office design is monochromatic, with pure white workstations. The designers chose Torsa in white as the perfect complement.
The Vail Systems office has garnered attention from design magazines as well as local Chicago press interested in the city’s evolving economy. And with this impressive renovation, everyone involved with the project is excited to work together in the future.
