All proceeds going to industry breast cancer organization
October 08, 2013
Paul DeVries, CEO and Co-founder of SitOnIt Seating and IDEON, knows first-hand how breast cancer can turn life upside down. He was just 12 when his mother succumbed to the disease. This October, he is launching a new initiative to help win the war against breast cancer.
"Although I've given privately over the years, I wanted to do something publically to continue to raise awareness of this devastating disease," says Paul. "I worked with our Design Team to create a chair that commemorates the on-going fight against breast cancer in a tasteful and elegant way. Breast cancer is a deadly disease. It affects one in eight women and is the second leading cause of death among women. My message is simple: do what you can, when you can and how you can – just do something. Doing nothing is unacceptable".
During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, SitOnIt Seating will be producing a Limited Edition Torsa™, with a small pink 3D ribbon insert on the back. A limited run – just two hundred (100 Graphite, 100 White) – of these chairs will be produced. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the sales of these chairs will go to The Common Thread for the Cure, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families in the furnishings industry who are fighting breast cancer.
SitOnIt Seating is proud to do its part and encourages its customers to support the fight against breast cancer in any way they can.
